Unit seven focused on considerations for the teacher when thinking about lessons that involve introducing new vocabulary, grammar, and functions at any class level. Selecting appropriate vocabulary for the class includes teachability, appropriateness to the students and the task, and frequency of use. The unit breaks down lessons into ESA segments. For each segment, methods and activities are listed depending on its focus: vocabulary or grammar/function. The sample methods are even shown for straight arrow,boomerang, and patchwork lesson plans.
