The unit identified the various relationships that can be created between the teachers and the students. By identifying the various roles of the teacher (model, organizer, resource, manager, etc.) we can see how the actions that a teacher needs to take can vary. Likewise, looking at the different styles of student, broken up by age and proficiency level, highlight how students have different needs of the teacher. Finally, characteristics which apply to the success of all teachers and students are helpful in focusing on general skills like motivation, participation, and patience.
