The unit covered course books and materials. First the difference between authentic and created materials was discussed. Then there were samples of materials such as role-play cards. The unit then discussed course books: their advantages and disadvantages, how to best use them and how to analyze them. I was already familiar with this topic but the unit gave a good overview of the teaching materials and I particularly appreciated the checklist for the selection of a course book.
