This unit was exceptionally useful because it provided me with a real life example of how a lesson could look. The two video's show big differences that make it very clear to understand what effective teaching is about. As a former private tutor, I know these behaviours, but to see them used in a planned lesson in front of a class is very helpful. The way the teacher divides his attention and keeps everybody engaged is what I find most important. I would prefer not to have every activity to be done in pairs, as this might leave a less advanced student behind because of a lack of practice.
