Unit 17, equipment and teaching aids gives us information about the type of equipment or technology that you may find in an ESL classroom. I myself have used overhead projectors, cassettes, CD's, DVD's, smartboards, youtube adn many other online resources to help my teaching practice. I have found in my profession many teachers rely quite heavily on technology and use it too much! I see it as a tool to be used for a purpose. In my class last year we would ask the students to record themselves reading on their laptops to self-evaluate their reading fluency and expression. I will definitely use cameras if they are available for the students to record themselves reading and speaking!
