In unit 2, the text and video dove into the 8 most common parts of speech. This includes noun, verb, adjectives, propositions and conjunctions, adverbs, pronouns, articles and gerunds. Each part of speech had a few further categories that further defined the words and provided rules as to when each word is used in a sentence. The information was presented in a way in which a student could build upon basic sentences of simple nouns and verbs, into more complicated sentences with adverbs, prepositions, and gerunds.
