In this unit, we are presented with the same lesson being taught twice. We are then asked to analyze the lessons, finding errors and noticing how proper teaching techniques can positively impact the class. I found this unit to be very helpful in showcasing what happens when things arn't taught correctly. A general sense of confusion and negativity pervades the class in the first video. This all stems from the teachers actions. In contrast, the second video is a good deal more positive, with the students seemingly much happier and eager to participate. The importance of maintaining a positive, open atmosphere, I feel, can't be overstated, as it results in a more engaged class.
