Unit 6 is teaching Past tenses. There are Past simple, Past continuous, Past perfect, and Past perfect continuous tenses. Past simple is used for completed actions, and a definite time of the actions is given or mentioned. E.g, I graduated from school 5 years ago. Past continuous is used for actions, which are in a process, and had started before the mentioned time, and assumingly, continued after. We don't have an information, if the action was finally completed. Past continuous tense is used with a time information, which can also be expressed by giving a parallel action in the Past simple. E.g. I was sleeping when you called me. If there are two completed actions happened in the Past, and we want to indicate, which one happened first, we use Past perfect tense for the 1st and past simple for the second action. E.g. I had slept before you called me. Past perfect continuous is used to point out a duration of an action which had been happening just before another action happened E.g. I had been sleeping for 20 minutes before you called me. Of course, it was quite frustrating to figure out where the correct form of Past tense to use, and I used another resourses to practice it, and I hope that practice makes perfect. The unit, again, gave a lot of helpful activities for teaching each aspect of Past tense, and it also observed friquent mistakes and errors of students.
