In Unit 2, I learned about using proper grammar in the English language. This was something taught in elementary school, but it was never a subject that got into so much depth as this lesson did. It was good to refresh my memory using English grammar, especially if once have to teach it. There is a lot to learn about using correct grammar and how to explain it properly to your students, but practicing identifying parts of speech in sentences really helps. This lesson alone made me feel more confident because since I was in school, technology has progressed and how we communicate through text. We don't take the time to use proper grammar when we text. I feel like ever since we have started texting and messaging, we try to get our message across as quickly as possible, therefore, we don't pay attention to using proper grammar, so we eventually forget how to use it when we need to write a formal letter or an essay for example.
