The focus of this unit was on course books and lesson materials. The difference between authentic and created materials was discussed. This was followed by numerous examples of created materials, including both static and role-playing activities. Next, course books and their pros and cons were listed. I learned that it is beneficial for students' success to be creative and balanced with course books when they are lacking materials for your particular group of learners.
