This unit showed me how my lesson plans need to be structured but flexible. This was useful as I don't have much experience of planning a lesson. It also covered the functions of planning and how to correctly write out a lesson plan, what should be included to support me as a new to teacher. Comprehensive recommendations were given and the importance of being organised was highlighted. The planning sheet put everything into perspective and was easy to follow. Planning a sequence of lessons is basically the same as a single lesson but the issues of flexibility, goals, revision, variety and balance must be considered. The examples of exercises and grammar were ideal for future reference.
