This unit introduces the concept of receptive skills, which are reading and listening. It explains how to effectively teach them.
I found this unit very interesting and learned how to mix different receptive and productive skills within the same lesson, how to choose the topic of a text or audio material, the importance of making sure the material matches the level of the students, and that explaining enough but not too much of the difficult vocabulary is the right approach.
