This unit was especially interesting to me. As a native english speaker, I use all 4 of the present tenses fairly perfectly each day. It comes naturally to think and speak in these tenses and I can easily spot grammatical errors regarding the tenses. However, before this lesson, I could not have told you what these tense were or how to formulate them. I knew them subconsciously, but I did not really know them in the traditional sense. Students of the english language typically struggle to master the tense system. As a teacher, I will need to help them in this area. Now that I am learning more about the mechanics behind each tense, I will be able to explain them better to others.
