This section was an eye opener for myself, as I thought the english present tense was the present simple only. I did not realize that the present tense consisted of four tenses. It was also weird to see the construction of each tense as I have never thought of when to use had vs have or do vs does. I had to take extensive notes on when to use each tense as I know I understand when to, but if I were asked to explain it to students, I would be unable to describe the situations before working on this unit. I am extremely curious to see the other rules for more tenses and the time to use each tense.
