This unit shows the three ways to assess the level of the student. Tutorials, Evaluation By Students and Tests.
Tutorials are ideally individual, reviewing the aims of the lesson, level of performance and any issues.
Evaluation by students promotes genuine interaction by questioning and guided discussion.
Testing falls into the following categories: placement, progress, diagnostic and practice. Reasons for these tests are, I feel, self-explanatory.
General external examination bodies included were TOEFL, IELTS TOEIC Cambridge Assessments and Trinity College London’s ESOL course.
