This lesson focused on the importance of speaking and writing as they pertain to the English language. Although understanding how speaking is very important to learning a new language, I believe that this unit did a good job of explaining how important and overlooked writing can be for individuals who are learning a new language. Understanding the importance of penmanship and how this can effect communication is an important point that I had not considered before.
