This unit was about the future tense and the numerous ways one might express the future. As someone who simply grew up hearing and speaking in English, it is fascinating to reflect on my use of the future tense after this chapter and realize that it is correct in identifying the future tense as confusing with a clear cut way of announcing the future, as is possible in other languages like Spanish. What was especially interesting was the clear identification of usage for each tense and thinking of how that intuitively makes sense in both a grammatical and structural way when I speak. Teaching future tense will probably be the hardest aspect of teaching English.
