This unit is short but important. It tells us the most fundamental three things consisting of a typical language, eg., the vocabulary, the grammar and the language function. For each part, this unit also teaches us how to motivate the student and provide many practical methods. Another important point is that this unit combines the knowledge with that of unit 3, which enforced our understanding of the knowledge in unit 3.
