This unit covered conditionals (sentences containing "if" which refer to possibilities in the past, present, and future) and reported speech. This unit also discussed reported and direct speech. This unit discussed factors associated with reported and direct speech such as verb tense changes and time expressions. Finally, the unit provided possible teaching ideas for expressing these grammar changes in the classroom.
