I really enjoyed the section on creative writing, and ways to engage students in these areas. I have had professors who have really struggled to create environments that were encouraging to being creative and using the language. I enjoy how every unit reminds the reader to start the study section with useful vocabulary and grammar structures to help the students with the upcoming activity instead of having random vocabulary that would not be useful for the lesson. Keeping activities interesting has been a theme lately and I would actually enjoy more resources outside of games to make activities more exciting for students. I will look at the books suggested in earlier units, as a starting point, but I feel having too many activities that require being creative could be boring for some students like myself. I prefer reading and watching shows in the language I am learning to engaging with classmates. I would like to find more ways to engage these students while also applying the lessons on trying to promote creative scenarios in writing and speaking.
