This unit engaged us with the productive skills, speaking and writing for communication. We communicate for how, why, what, when and where reasons. Creating motivation in the students is important to help with their participation. Issues related to student who are reluctant to speak were highlighted and techniques to encourage interaction were given. Handwriting should always be improved and improvement in spelling is supported by improved by extensive reading. The example activity for writing where students use and write appropriate language in speech bubbles and newspaper clips e.g. what is happening in the picture and cartoon strips, was very helpful.
