This unit consisted of very clear categories that are within the classroom dynamic for example what makes a good learner and what makes a good teacher etc. I felt that this unit was very important for me to know the boundaries in a class and roles of the teacher as I would not have thought about some of the things mentioned before taking this class. For example, the importance of sitting back and observing a class has more importance than I would have guessed before taking this course. I have learned the different phases of a language learner and where they stand in terms of their understanding. The unit has helped me understand the difference between adult and young learners in regards to their motivation, behavior, awareness and experiences. It's important to know this so that I can better understand where to progress and what will appeal to them. Mostly this unit taught me about the qualities I should have as a teacher and also the qualities of a good learner. There is a much more complex relationship than I would have thought. It is very important to know this information.
