My experience teaching English to special populations has grown extensively with my move to Thailand where I taught Thai students. Previously, my ESL teaching efforts were a secondary part of my job, I was teaching technology and art to landed immigrants in the USA. This past year was focused on teaching specifically English to school students and visa seekers needing to pass IELTS at an A1 level. The only population I haven’t specially worked with is business groups. The needs assessment on pages 12 and 13 of Unit 19 will be very helpful if I land a contract I am currently bidding on.
