This unit showed me how relatively complex grammar is considering I don't usually think about it as a native English speaker. I am now thinking more critically and thoughtfully with how I use words and how I form sentences. I realize that for non-native english speakers that part of the grammar and parts of speech that we take for granted may be very difficult to master for new learners. In this unit a gained a better appreciation and understanding for the sometimes improper ways in which immigrants or individuals in other countries use english, because the language is simply not as easy as I thought!
