In this unite, I learned about teaching receptive skills. The one of these receptive skills is reading. We read for two reasons; in order to achieve some particular aim or goal, or for entertainment purposes. Next, the unite describes how we read, this includes predicting, scanning, skimming, looking for detailed information and deducing. Next, the unit talks about listening skills and how to teach these skills, these include pre-teaching vocabulary and carefully selecting texts. Finally, the unite gives example lesson plans and worksheets to show a typical receptive skills lesson.
