The example sentences embedded in the various sections are the most helpful for me. Grammar has specific rules that when applied to a living language can easily be parsed to support a biased. Whereas, I like the examples, so I see simple applications. I have seen the results of teaching a formulaic approach to grammar here in Thailand and can’t say I agree. Perhaps further chapters will support the benefits of teaching the minutiae of language acquisition to my students who are A1 candidates.
