In this unit, past tenses including past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous, were all examined. Explanations were given on the relevant structures of each past tense, as well as their usages, common errors and mistakes made my students regarding each tense. One very useful piece of information that was included in this unit was the teaching ideas for activities that could be used in the classroom to help the students to better register each tense difference. It is important that teachers become familiar with the information surrounding the past tense in this unit in order to teach their students effectively.
