When teaching children try to speak slowly and use a higher pitch and exaggerated intonation. Children who are new to English tend to pick up words faster than adults on their same level. In my particular case, I work with young learners who have a false beginner level of English, therefore, making myself look silly helps a lot. I could improve by doing more games to reduce the TTT. I also tend to correct right away, so correcting at the end or clearing it up for everybody will release the stress on student. I do keep things simple for a better understanding, but I should do more simple games.
