This unit showed the contrast between a poorly run class and a more effective English class. The manner and demeanor of the instructor greatly influenced the student's behavior and interaction. In video 2, the effective class, the teacher was energetic and likeable. He used group activities that encouraged student interaction. He could have used more conversation and interaction by focusing less on the types of animal vocabulary, and instead introducing more ways to use the modal auxiliary verbs.
