This unit focused on the structures of classes, something I have had no formal experience with using, though I did recognize many of the activities and strategies as ones I or the T1 teacher I sometimes work with have used. The engage, study, activate system is beautifully simple and will make lesson plans so much easier to formulate in the future. Beyond that, many of the activities given are ones I have not used before and I am keen to try them out in my own classroom. Teaching in rural public schools I have noticed that there is a lot of native language used in the classroom and it was comforting to read that this is not an ideal choice for instruction.
