In this unit, I have reviewed the course content and organization, studied the aims and objectives of a TEYL course, and learned about the common terminology used in reference to teaching English. I have also learned that a young leaner is defined (for the purpose of this course) as any student between the ages of five and thirteen, after which the different factors motivating older students' instructions prevent them from fully benefitting from specialized TEYL instruction. There are many opportunities available for prospective teachers with a background in TEYL, as teaching one-on-one or in a classroom setting at a private school, public school, language center, or private language school are all feasible job opportunities.
