The purpose of this unit was to provide an overview of classroom management. I found this unit to be very practical - some of the content may seem obvious at face-value, but the lesson did a great job of explaining some important details about managing a class. For example, I'd never thought much about how important seating arrangements are, but this lesson made me consider the importance minimizing the degree students are intimidated by the teacher and optimizing the classroom for both lecturing and group work. I also found the section on discipline helpful.
