Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

In this unit, I learned about various resources we can bring to our ESL classroom be it course books, resource books, dictionaries, worksheets, visual aids, CDs, cassettes, and so on. New teachers having little or no experience prefer to use course books as they provide them everything ready to use. On the other hand, experienced teachers, apart from the course books, generally prefer to use a variety of other resource materials, authentic or created, in order to cater to their students' specific needs. And it's always better to adapt, supplement and replace course book material with the other resources so as to make a lesson more suitable, enjoyable and interesting for students as a single course book may not be able to suit the learning level of all the students in a class. While choosing a course book for the students, it's important to consider a few important things such as which methodology does it use, the language content, the supplementary materials such CDs, cassettes or workbooks, price, and syllabus etc. When we talk about the supporting materials, they could be original authentic materials such as newspapers, programs, magazines, interviews, etc. They are not designed or graded for ESL students; their language could be difficult so they must be carefully chosen for specific level of students. Students find these materials more interesting and motivating, as they are not from their regular course books, and they help the students gain confidence because they are from actual life experiences and they haven't been created. We can also create our own worksheets, puzzles, flashcards or gap fill activities, rather than only depending upon the course books, and internet has of course opened us a whole new world for creating these kind of extra materials. We just need to explore and be as creative as we could to make the supportive material attractive and interesting for the students.
