This unit went over the two receptive skills, listening and reading. All of the language learning skills are important. This unit reminded me that listening and fill two general categories: for a purpose and for entertainment. It also reinforced the importance of choosing teaching materials and topics that will be of interest to the students at large, and not just myself or the most interactive student in the class.
