This unit was about lesson planning. Lesson planning is important to organise what is being taught and how to bring the aims of the lesson across. It also serves as record of what has been done before. It is however also important to realise the lesson plan is an aid and not the 'law of the lesson'. The teacher should remain flexible and be able to alter the plan according to the student's needs and flow of the lesson.
This unit showed an example lesson plan for a beginner level lesson working on animal vocabulary and the use of can/can't.
The task sheet and teaching material examples for it were interesting and helpful to practise lesson planning first hand.
Although I did not very much appreciate the structure of this unit's test. Of course things like creating a survey and carrying out said survey can only be done in exactly that order, but overall it gives the impression of overly rigid lesson structures.
