In this unit, I learned about the four past tenses in English grammar: the past simple, the past continuous, the past perfect, and the past perfect continuous. The form of each tense was diagrammed and the numerous irregular verbs for the past simple tense were listed. The usages of each tense were explained with examples and practice activities were proposed.
I believe the unit is essential to teaching English grammar but I wish that there had been more content on how I might present these tenses to students at different levels because I do not believe that a student with a base level of English could understand these explanations without my resorting to his/her native language.
