The first unit gave answers to such questions as "what makes a good teacher/learner?", "how are young learners different from adults?", "what levels of English proficiency are there?". It covered the roles teachers play in the classroom which was very informative for me personally, as I didn't have a clear understanding of the 'teacher-students' interactions before starting the course. I have also learned interesting facts regarding the effects of cultural heritage on students' behavior in the classroom.
