It was very interesting to read about the different methods of teaching a language (well really to teach just about anything, as I think this can relate to teaching in general). I do believe that finding the right balance for you, as the teacher, and your students is essential in optimizing the success to your class. Of course this will take time and practice but I a excited to being able to try out my personal combination in the future. A little bit of this, a little bit of that and learning can be made fun and effective. I appreciated the number of examples of each stage of ESA that was given, but I a als curious of other examples, as I sure some teachers have been quite creative in finding new ways to engage their students.
