There were two videos included in this unit, demonstrating one successful language class and one that was less successful. The first lesson did not feel very prepared, he complained about the students’ performance and he did not explain the subject or the activities well. In the second lesson the teacher was better at explaining the material, he used the names of the students more and he gave a lot of praise instead of complaining. I saw a big difference in how the students responded and their willingness to participate. I think the students had more fun and learned a lot more in the second lesson since they should have felt more relaxed than in the first one.
