This unit talked about the different types of tests that teachers can use in their classes. It was useful to learn that different types of tests serve different purposes- for placement, determining what students already know, measuring progress, or preparing students for tests outside of the classroom. While tests often have a bad reputation, I learned that they also serve various purposes that allow the teacher to provide lessons more fitted to the needs of the students. Additionally, they allow the students to measure their own progress.
