Teaching new language such as vocabulary, grammar and functions are really interesting topics to study with. An effective teacher will think about which structure is most appropriate to the class and to the language that will be introduced. Learning vocabulary is an important part of a students development process, but the vocabulary instruction can be a challenge for a teacher, especially when it comes to making it effective and engaging. To be able to teach new words, as a teacher I learned that I should select the vocabularies well. I must analyze and study if my it will be easy for my students to comprehend it well. In using a typical ESA vocabulary lesson: Engage - I must engage my students, there should be games, stories, music, pictures, etc. These activities can be used to lead into vocabulary content targeted for the lesson. Study - I will use a variety of styles to present the vocabulary spelling and pronunciation. Activate - exercises and activities are designed for students to use the vocabulary and rehearsing what they learned. Grammatical Structures teaches the students that they will need to know and what the language means. Language function lessons will stress the need for activation of language and is perhaps the most effectively used in Boomerang (Engage- Activate- Study- Activate) and the Patchwork Type (Engage - Activate - Study - Activate)
