This was a complicated unit with a great deal of complex terminology which, one might imagine, would easily baffle a student new to the language. Once again, although a teacher would do well to know this information, it might be simpler and ultimately wiser not to inflict the theoretical definitions of these grammatical distinctions onto students directly, but rather work on them through a process of natural/conversational introduction to how they are commonly used in the English language.
