This unit covered the basic roles and characteristics of both teachers and students as well as the varied dynamics that can occur in the classroom. The information provided regarding cultural differences impacting learning processes as well as interaction and communication was particularly helpful and, I imagine, an integral part of providing the best learning environment possible for the students.
I've also come to understand how important it is to have the knowledge to accurately assess the students language level to ensure they are starting at the proper learning level. Unit provided a good basic understanding of some of the core elements in teaching English as a foreign language.
