This unit was a brief introduction to English teaching methodology and lesson planning. The lesson began by giving a brief overview of different types of English teaching. As someone who has studied Chinese for many years, the methods that seemed most familiar to me are the PPP method and the Lexical approach, which are common in the Chinese teaching community (at least based on the descriptions of the methods). I found the introduction to the Engage, Study, Activate method interesting, as it got me thinking about the best way to structure English lessons in the future. Also, I will definitely save the long list of potential class activities as a reference - there were a lot of interesting ideas there, which will help keep class varied.
