This unit introduces us to the most common methods and techniques for teaching ELF and discusses the pros and cons of each. We are then introduced to the ESA method which we will be using for this course and go into greater detail about how to apply its methods.
In this unit, using the ESA method, I learnt planning a lesson should be based around engage-study-activate, this can be applied using three different methods straight arrow, boomerang and patchwork, what activities and games should be applied and why within each stage, different ways to give students feedback and techniques on when and who should correct mistakes in the class.
