This unit has reiterated the need to be organised and well prepared for a lesson. If using electronic equipment, make sure all equipment is thoroughly checked. Make sure the room is suitable for the equipment. And to be prepared to put in the extra time to learning more complex equipment, for example an Interactive whiteboard (IWB) or an Overhead projector (OHP) and in fact source the training from the school if you are expected to use it. This unit has reiterated the importance of visual aids and dictionaries and worksheets to a class and encouraged me to think of more audio (c.d's, Mp3's, podcasts) and audio visual (dvd's, you tube, smart phone video and video camera's) options to help make my class more interactive and fun. It has also opened my eyes to the plethora of resources books and on-line resources to explore and utilise.
