This was an interesting unit on grammar. Again, it shows how what is common sense to a first language speaker can often become quite complicated in theory when examined forensically and broken down into the rules of grammar itself. However, I do believe that in spoken or conversational English, some of these rules are not finite and variations within them can be passed nowadays as being considered correct. This caused more ambiguity for the learner of English as most of what is learnt is often done so by replicating what is heard rather than what is read or written.
