This unit has been a great opening to understanding basic classroom functions and teacher-student relationships. I appreciated learning how many different roles the teacher can play. This shows that there is great responsibility on such ones to keep the class active and really have a full share in keeping students motivated to learn. The unit also created a beautiful picture of why having a keen eye and ear are essential to teaching. I appreciated this, because besides the fact that there exists differing traits of the learners' age category, each student as an individual is at his/her own learning level. I have always made it a goal to pay attention to my students, but this lesson has helped me to realize just how much more emphasis I need to put on that so as to be an effective teacher. All these things will definitely contribute to better teacher-student relationships and a more successful student in the long run.
