This unit was focused on the ways lessons for vocabulary, grammar, and function differ and the types of things a language learner needs to know about each type. This was a great chapter to get into practicing lesson planning and seeing some more lesson plan examples. This whole chapter was full of a ton of information on how to actually weave the engage, study, and activate phases of the class together in a way that is productive and conductive to learning. I am excited to apply these practices directly into my own teaching and it has already changed how I am writing my current lesson plans.
