The teaching theories, methods, and techniques presented in this unit are laid out very thoughtfully and clearly. At various points in my teaching career, I have either used or been exposed to all of the things listed. This unit encouraged me to be reflective about my past and present teaching pedagogy. Giving explicit names to what methods and techniques I am using in the classroom is going to help me be more efficient in how I plan lessons. I am currently teaching at an international school in Japan, so this lesson content will be helpful immediately. When I do return to the U.S., I know that this content will also be helpful with ELL and ESL students in my classroom there.
